ABOUT

Designer of systems,
products, and the space
between.

I’m Chris Travaglini, a Toronto-based Senior Product and Visual Designer with 15+ years of experience across UX/UI, design systems, brand, and graphic design. I’m drawn to work that brings structure and visual thinking together, especially when there’s an opportunity to make something complex feel clearer, more intuitive, and more considered.

My background is rooted in both traditional art and digital design. I studied graphic and interactive design at OCAD University, with a strong focus on typography and visual communication, then later returned to school to study creature and character design at CMU, where I graduated as valedictorian. That program expanded my practice into sculpture, mould making, casting, and digital sculpting in ZBrush.

That mix of disciplines continues to shape how I work. I like balancing emerging tools, digital trends, and new technologies with the principles of traditional art, craft, and composition. Whether I’m designing a product interface, building a visual system, developing a brand, or making something physical, I’m always looking for the point where contemporary ideas and timeless design fundamentals can work together.

Beyond the screen.

I can happily lose hours to a costume, prop, or creature build. I like the messy, hands-on process of sculpting, mould making, and turning an idea into something real. When I’m not making something, I’m into fantasy, games, and dancing, and I’ll travel to see a DJ I love.
